电影以赵子龙在常山沉寂七年后，因战乱变故流落到邺城与刘备重逢为故事背景，以赵子龙的成长为故事主线，讲述了他经历磨炼，在刘备等伯乐的鼓励与残酷现实的鞭策之下，逐渐找回自我与理想，最终成长为独当一面的汉室大将的故事。。故事的主人公原本是亚利桑那橄榄球队的明星，后来转队去了盐湖城。结果现在他不得不面对一个尴尬的局面：他原先所在的橄榄球队，与他现在所在的新队，竟然在全国锦标赛中狭路相逢。与原队友们之间的深厚情谊，让他对这场比赛左右为难，更何况他老爸还是原队的教练……。In order to save their rehab facility, four cross-addicted anonymous alcoholics undertake a very risky task to smuggle two tankers of spirit across Poland. For their own safety, they kidnap their therapist for the trip. However, the journey turns out to be more dangerous than they expected.
