1938年，蒋介石为阻挡日军进攻，在河南花园囗炸堤放水，中原人民背井离乡，流离失所。地主家女长工李麦（张瑞芳 饰）不满国民党当局不管人民死活的行径，当街斥问他们，国军军官只是搪塞。后来李麦在女干部宋敏（李秀明 饰）的感召下，加入了共产党组织。她积极串联无家可归的难民，向他们宣传党的主张，组织起来和敌人斗争。她化装进城，当着外国记者杜兰特（戈沙 饰）、贝丽（凯蒂 饰）的面，揭露当局祸国殃民的罪行。解放后，已担任区干部的李麦在黄河大堤上受到毛主席（于是之 饰）亲切接见，她激动万分。逢人就介绍解放前后黄泛区所发生的翻天覆地的变化，当1958年又一次特大洪峰来临时，周总理（王铁成 饰）亲临抗洪前线......。Norman, a retired police officer, works as a night security guard in a building. One evening, he surprised Nathalie and Guylain committing a robbery and, after a chase in the building, they manage to escape. Curiously, Nathalie returns to visit Normand a few weeks later asking him for refuge. A special relationship between the two develops and changes the course of their lives....。
