动画作品「机动战士高达」的塑料模型通称“钢普拉”在1980年代掀起了一阵狂潮。如今，第2次钢普拉热潮，应该称之为新的浪潮席卷整个世界。受它的人气影响，于是有了“ガンプラバトル”。不是虚拟空间里的CG，而是通过操纵制作好的钢普拉来战斗，使用划时代的系统参加世界大赛。故事的主人公入尾成十分钟爱钢普拉，参加钢普拉战斗世界大赛，是这个年轻的钢普拉builder的梦想。作为模型店唯一的一个儿子拥有者超高的钢普拉制作技术的他，却对战斗的操纵十分生疏，以至于在大赛出场的第一战就败北。他遇到了一个叫做雷吉的有着超凡的钢普拉操纵技术的迷般的少年，他们组队像世界大赛发起挑战，目标是参加世界大赛，然后胜利！。Sir Robert Chiltern is a successful Government minister, well-off and with a loving wife.
